We love children at Brister!

The children's ministry at Brister is vibrant and is always growing. From the nursery through grade school, we've have opportunities for children to grow in their own walk with Christ. There is something happening for kids all year long.

Our kids aren't the church of tomorrow. They're very much a part of the church today!

Reaching kids of all ages

One of our most exciting children's ministries has been described as being "a tornado with tennis shoes," and we wouldn't have it any other way. Every Wednesday evening during the school year, children flock to Brister for the Awana program. God's Word is the central focus of Awana as students memorize scripture, learn from exciting Bible lessons, and participate in game time. Students arrive early each week for a free dinner.

Summers are fun for kids!

The fun doesn't stop when Awana is over for the year. Each summer, kids have the opportunity to attend a week of Vacation Bible School for those going into kindergarten through sixth grade.

Our students attend church camp at Daniel Springs Baptist Camp in Gary, Texas.

Sunday Mornings

We are happy to offer a nursery and Children's Church on Sunday mornings. The nursery is staffed by volunteers from the church membership and is open to those from birth through age 2. The nursery is open during Sunday School and Morning Worship.

Children's Church is open to students age 3 through kindergarten and follows a set curriculum to further your child's knowledge of Jesus Christ. Children's church is led by certified school teachers, and as one student has pointed out, it's "more funner than real church."
