The youth ministry at Brister Baptist Church is committed to helping students in grades 7-12 grow deeper in their relationship with Christ.
The Brister Youth Group completed its 5th short-term mission trip in June 2018. A team of 12 teens and 3 adults traveled to Georgetown, Texas, (near Austin), to work with church planter Andy Comer and Antioch Georgetown. Previous trips have included two years working with a church planters in Nixa, Missouri and Cumming, Georgia, and missionary Jason Walters on the Navejo reservation in New Mexico as well as his church camp in Colorado.
Sometimes we have to get away from the distractions of home as we grow deeper in our walk with Christ. Each summer, students entering 7th through 12th grades have the opportunity to attend the SOAR conference in Dallas as well as a church camp at Daniel Springs Baptist Camp.
Studying God's Word is one of the most vital elements of deepening our relationship with Christ. That's where our Wednesday evening Youth Group Bible Study comes in. We meet each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the upstairs Youth Room for a time of worship and Bible Study.
Youth Group Bible Study does not meet during June and July due to our extensive summer trip schedule.
